Tim O’Rourke is the chief executive officer at agilon health. He leads the company’s strategy and operations in service of its mission to empower primary care physicians to transform health care in their communities. Tim also serves as a member of the agilon health board of directors.

Tim has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience across both payor and provider organizations in value-based care. Prior to agilon health, Tim was president of Help at Home, the leading national provider of in-home care for Medicare, Medicaid and Dual Eligible patients with complex chronic conditions. Before Help at Home, he served as chief executive officer of Ascension Complete, a multi-state provider-integrated Medicare Advantage plan, where he led value-based clinical and population health operations. Tim also held a broad set of leadership roles at Humana over 17 years, developing deep expertise in Medicare Advantage and value-based care across both payor and provider settings.

Tim serves as vice-chair of Jefferson’s board of trustees, which oversees Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson Health and Jefferson Health Plans. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Northern Illinois University.

Jeff Schwaneke is the chief financial officer at agilon health. In this role, Jeff will oversee every aspect of the company’s financial operations.

Jeff has more than 27 years of finance and operational expertise, including 15 years in the managed care sector. He was part of the agilon health board of directors from August 2022 until July 2024. Prior to agilon health, Jeff spent 13 years at Centene where he was executive vice president, Health Care Enterprises, for Centene Corporation where he oversaw the pharmacy business, including Part D Medicare, dental and vision companies, and company-owned clinics. Jeff also served as chief financial officer and treasurer as well as corporate controller and chief accounting officer at Centene. He previously held senior positions at Novelis, Inc., SPX Corporation and PwC.

Jeff obtained his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri and is a CPA (inactive).

Heidi Hittner is the chief business operations officer at agilon health and a core member of the executive leadership team, leading the integration of operations, clinical programs and business operations functions to ensure agilon’s platform delivers operational consistency and measurable value creation. She also serves as chief of staff to the Office of Executive Chairman, orchestrating executive alignment, leadership engagement cadence and strategic execution of executive team priorities across the organization.

For centralized operations, Heidi leads all platforms that are critical to the scalability and success of agilon’s physician-enablement model, including risk adjustment (RAF), quality, clinical operations and performance infrastructure. Her marketing and communications scope includes aligning enterprise-wide internal messaging, physician partner engagement and external brand strategy.

Previously, Heidi was agilon’s chief experience officer, leading initiatives to improve medical quality, manage costs and drive organic growth. Before joining agilon, she held senior leadership roles at Fresenius Medical Care North America, advancing value-based care strategies, and at Concentra, where she led national operations and a successful Net Promoter Score (NPS) transformation.

Heidi serves on the Board of Trustees for the Ardmore Institute of Health and holds both a Master’s degree and a BS in physical therapy from Loma Linda University.

Dr. Karthik Rao is the chief medical officer at agilon health. In this role, Karthik leads clinical strategy, clinical programs and physician engagement initiatives that support education and performance across our network.​

Karthik has 10+ years of experience as a practicing internal medicine physician and other roles working in value-based care. Prior to agilon health, Karthik worked at McKinsey & Company, leading a broad range of strategy and operations work across the health care value chain, with particular focus on provider groups and government organizations.​

Karthik earned a medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a BA from Johns Hopkins University. He completed an internal medicine and primary care residency at Massachusetts General Hospital.​ He continues to practice primary care at Beth Israel Lahey Health in Boston, MA.

Ben Shaker serves as the chief markets officer at agilon health. In his role, Ben oversees our physician partnerships across 30+ communities throughout the United States, ensuring these partnerships achieve performance expectations.

His leadership extends to active participation on many of the Partnership Boards at agilon health. Before assuming his current position, Ben was the president of the Central Region at agilon health, where he successfully established the company’s inaugural partnership with Central Ohio Primary Care (COPC). His prior experience includes a tenure at Mount Carmel Health Partners, a clinically integrated network within Trinity Health, where he held the roles of vice president and chief operating officer. Ben’s extensive background in physician and health care transformation underscores his expertise and commitment to advancing the health care industry.

Ben earned a B.A. in Economics from Youngstown State University and a Master in Health Administration from the Ohio State University.

Denise Zamore is the chief legal officer and corporate secretary at agilon health, with executive responsibility for global human resources, legal, corporate governance, enterprise risk, compliance, and regulatory affairs. She also oversees policy, government affairs, and sustainability.

Denise has more than 25 years of experience guiding small and large public and private organizations through significant growth and financial and operational transitions. Prior to agilon, Denise worked at UnitedHealth Group where she served as Optum deputy general counsel leading a team of professionals providing operational and strategic support and guidance to physician groups and health care executives on a broad array of areas, including critical strategy development, identification and leveraging of high-profile risks and opportunities, regulatory guidance, mergers and acquisitions, state regulation of risk-bearing entities, compliance with corporate practice of medicine, privacy and employment law. Prior to Optum, Denise led a team at UnitedHealthcare in the coordination and management of nationwide legal, regulatory and compliance matters related to all lines of health insurance business. Denise also completed a two-year federal clerkship and practiced complex commercial litigation at large multinational law firms.

Outside of agilon, Denise is an active member of her community and serves as a mentor to high school and college students. She serves as a board member for several organizations, including the Connecticut Bar Foundation (foundation dedicated to promoting equal access to justice), Hartford Promise Scholars program (nonprofit organization focused on high school and college success for Hartford public school students), and Connecticut Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel. She is an active member of the Georgetown University Alumni Admissions Program and has received numerous awards and distinctions for her commitment to diversity and the practice of law.

She has been an active member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), CHIEF, Tech GC, Society of Corporate Governance and several national healthcare and legal member organizations.

Denise earned a Juris Doctor (JD) from Columbia Law School and a BA in government from Georgetown University.

Ron Williams is a co-founder of agilon health and has served as director and chairman of the board since 2017. Mr. Williams also is chairman and CEO of RW2 Enterprises, an operating advisor to private equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R), and chairman of apree health (previously Castlight/Vera Whole Health). He currently serves as lead director at Warby Parker. Mr. Williams previously served as lead director of American Express, chairman of the nominating and governance committee for Boeing, chair of the compensation committee for Johnson & Johnson, and the chairman of naviHealth and PharMedium. Mr. Williams joined Aetna in 2001 and was named president in 2002. He served as CEO and chairman of the board of Aetna from 2006 to 2010 and chairman until his retirement in 2011.

Mr. Williams serves as chairman of The Conference Board, advisory board member of the Peterson Center on Healthcare, and trustee for the Peterson Institute for International Economics. He is a member of the President’s Circle of the National Academies. He was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and is a trustee of the Committee for Economic Development. He served on President Obama’s President’s Management Advisory Board from 2011 to 2017. Mr. Williams received his B.A. from Roosevelt University and holds an M.S. in Management from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Silvana Battaglia joined the agilon health board of directors in June 2023. Ms. Battaglia is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for AmerisourceBergen, a leading global healthcare solutions company. Ms. Battaglia brings over 25 years of business leadership experience in global human resources organizations, shaping high-performance cultures, talent and succession management and driving organization transformation within the pharmaceutical and business services sectors. Prior to being named to her current role in January 2019, Ms. Battaglia served as Senior Vice President of Global Compensation, Benefits and Labor Relations and SVP of Global Human Resources at Aramark from 2011 to 2019. Ms. Battaglia served as the CHRO of Day & Zimmerman from 2008 to 2011 and held increasingly responsible leadership positions with Merck from 1998 to 2008. Her early career included positions at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Colorcon, a Division of Berwind Pharmaceuticals.

Ms. Battaglia, a National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) certified professional Director, graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and her Masters of Science in Human Resources from Widener University. She has also served as an adjunct faculty member at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia

Sharad Mansukani, M.D. has served as a director of agilon health since 2017. Dr. Mansukani also serves as a Senior Advisor to TPG, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Convey Health Solutions. Dr. Mansukani served as Chairman of the board of directors to Envision Rx Options from 2013 to 2016; a strategic advisor to the board of directors at Cigna Corp. from 2012 to 2015; Vice Chairman, Board of Directors of Health Spring, Inc. from 2007 to 2012; a director of IMS Health Holdings, Inc. from 2009 to 2016; a director of Surgical Care Affiliates, Inc. from 2007 to 2017; as lead director of IASIS Healthcare from 2005 to 2018; and a director of Kindred Healthcare, Inc. from 2015 to 2018. Dr. Mansukani also has served as a Senior Advisor on Medicare’s Program Advisory and Oversight Committee to the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services; Senior Advisor to the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services; and senior vice president and chief medical officer at Health Partners. Dr. Mansukani completed a residency and fellowship in ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and a fellowship in quality management and managed care at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of the Managed Care Executive Program at the Kellogg School of Business.

Diana L. McKenzie joined the agilon health board of directors in February 2023. Diana is a technology advisor, board member, and former Chief Information Officer with over thirty years of leadership experience gained from growing, scaling, and transforming global businesses in the Life Sciences and Software Industry with revenues ranging from $3-20B. She served as Workday’s first Chief Information Officer from 2016 to 2019. Before Workday, Diana served in multiple technology leadership roles at Amgen, Inc. from 2004-2016, including the role of Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining Amgen, she served in various technology leadership roles from 1987 to 2004 at Eli Lilly and Company.

Diana serves on MetLife, Inc., Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and Paradox boards and as a Special Advisor to Brighton Park Capital. She received her B.S. degree from Purdue University in 1986.

Karen McLoughlin joined the agilon health board of directors in July 2021. Ms. McLoughlin was the Chief Financial Officer of Cognizant Technology Solutions (“Cognizant”) from 2012 to 2020. Prior to joining Cognizant in 2003, Ms. McLoughlin was Vice President, Finance at Spherion from 1997 to 2003, Director, Corporate Accounting at Ryder Systems, Inc. from 1994 to 1997, and Manager, Middle Market Group at Price Waterhouse (which is now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers) from 1988 to 1994. Ms. McLoughlin currently serves on the board of directors of Best Buy as a member of the audit committee and chair of the finance and investment policy committee. Ms. McLoughlin received her B.A. from Wellesley College and her MBA from Columbia University.

Ravi Sachdev is the founder of agilon health. In his current role, he serves as director and vice chairman of the agilon board of directors.

Ravi is a partner specializing in health care at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R), a private investment firm. Prior to CD&R, Ravi was managing director and co-head of health care services at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. He also held the positions of managing director at Deutsche Bank Securities and director at Deutsche Bank AG. He started his career at Peter J. Solomon Company, an investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions in the health care sector.

Ravi received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan

William Wulf, M.D. has served as a director of agilon health since 2017. In addition to his role as director of agilon health, Dr. Wulf is the CEO of Central Ohio Primary Care. COPC is one of our physician group partners. Dr. Wulf was a founding partner of COPC in 1996 and assumed the role of CEO in 2013 after 25 years as a practicing Internist and the Corporate Medical Director. Dr. Wulf has also served as an advisor for multiple payors, including Anthem, Aetna and United Healthcare. Dr. Wulf received his BS from Ohio State University and his M.D. from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo.
