COPC Healthcare Initiative Acknowledged by Peers and Rolled out in Ad Campaign

COPC’s mission to deliver quality care to patients continues to receive local and national accolades.

First, Robert Stone, MD, COPC Senior Medical Director of Ambulatory Services, wrote an article discussing the successful deployment of telehealth services across 70 practice sites in Central Ohio. The article published in the New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst discusses COPC’s transition to telehealth technology and offers key learnings to other practices. Dr. Stone notes the importance of creating a dedicated team that can identify the practice and patients’ needs, implementing a program that includes training and communication, and setting ambitious goals and realistic deadlines. In part because of COPC’s success in adopting telehealth services in response to the unprecedented pandemic, it was also awarded “Best Family Medical Practice” by Columbus CEO Magazine.  Lastly, to continue to advance the role of primary care physicians and drive home the importance of taking care of health even during the pandemic, COPC launched the “Best for Primary Care” public service campaign, which included a series of billboards, TV commercials, and a patient resource website.  To learn more about the campaign, visit  www.BestforPrimaryCare.com.
