COPC “Senior Access” Connects Prospective Patients with
Primary Care Doctors

Recognizing it is challenging for some seniors to find primary care doctors, COPC worked in collaboration with agilon health to launch a new program that lends a helping hand to those who fall through the cracks.  The program – Senior Access — has a webpage allowing prospective patients to connect with a qualified COPC physician in just one click. Since its April launch, the program boasts 15 new enrollments driven mostly by a segment on NBC4’s Daytime Columbus.  Additionally, “Refer a friend” email blasts to Medicare Advantage patients have been successful. Any senior can visit to fill in their information, and a COPC representative will contact them within 24 hours to schedule an appointment.

Credit for the new initiative goes to Matt Skomorowski, MD, a primary care doctor with COPC who recognized the need for easier access to primary care for seniors. “Seniors sometimes call multiple practices only to find they are not accepting new patients, or the office is located too far from their home,” says Dr. Skomorowski. “At COPC, we believe that finding quality healthcare should be easy. We look forward to building long-term relationships with more Columbus seniors and connecting them to the care they need.”
