Most Valuable Player Awards – Continuous Improvement

The agilon health Most Valuable Player Award honors and acknowledges employees for excellence.  Award recipients are employees who embody the mission and core values of agilon health and consistently display characteristics that are valued and appreciated by coworkers and leadership.

Winners are selected based on peer nominations and management support for outstanding contributions. From the many nominations received, the following three employees were named agilon health MVPs for living the Core Value of Continuous Improvement. Read on to learn about our MVPs and their journey to agilon health!

Trisha Loo

What is your role with agilon health today?

I collaborate with the Risk Adjustment and Quality department to identify and track all components on project plans to include tasks, responsibilities, due dates, outcomes reporting, meetings, communication plans, metrics, outreach/training program, and coordination with vendors.  Focus primarily on Nurse Practitioner and Office Staff Incentive Program to meet Key Performance Indicators and contribute to the success of the department.

Tell us about your career journey

My journey in healthcare started 28 years ago when I interned at Straub pediatrics and gained my Certification in Medical Assisting.  I soon realized I wanted to grow further and advanced my education which gave me the opportunity to work at Queen’s Health Plans, HMAA, Pharmacare, then back to MDX Hawaii (formerly Queen’s Health Plans).  I’ve come full circle!

Tell us about your schooling/educational background

I have my Bachelor’s in Health Administration and Certificate in Medical Assisting

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to be creative, and most recently I’ve been getting creative with new food dishes.

List 1 fun fact about yourself

I’ve attended the School Ritz-Escoffier in Paris, France for a French pastry course in Pate a Choux au Craquelin (cream puffs).

What is your favorite quote or life motto?

I’m not high-maintenance, I’m self-maintained.

Healthcare has allowed me to continuously be challenged and serve those in my community.


Kyle Paugh

What is your role with agilon health today?

I am the Sr. Manager of Operations and Planning for Trusted Senior Care Advantage in the SE Ohio market.

Tell us about your career journey

I began my career in healthcare working in the academic health system setting at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. While there I led process improvement projects focusing on patient flow, capacity management and transfer center triage protocols. I then worked in the business sector in marketing and business development before joining agilon health in 2019.

Tell us about your schooling/educational background

I initially earned a Bachelor in Business Administration with a minor in International Business from Kent State University. Soon after beginning my career in healthcare, I decided to pursue a Master of Health Administration degree from The Ohio State University.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors hiking, fishing, mountain biking and camping with the family. Growing up in Columbus, I am also a passionate OSU Buckeyes fan and enjoy Saturday game days grilling out.

List 1 fun fact about yourself

I recently spent a weekend camping in a Yurt in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was my first Yurt experience, and I would highly recommend it.

Is there any additional information you would like to share regarding winning this award?

I am very honored to receive this recognition. Continuous Improvement is one of our values that resonates most with me from the perspective of establishing new market operations and demonstrating the value of partnership with our physicians. It is clearly displayed across every teams in our organization which is appreciated and energizing as we expand in all areas of our business.


Robin Miura

What is your role with agilon health today?

Manager, Contract Operations.

Tell us about your career journey

I started out in healthcare by accident, as a temp job and worked for seven years at different health plans.  Then I ended up in a large finance company.  I stayed there for four months but hated that it wasn’t as rewarding as helping people by working in healthcare. So here I am!

Tell us about your schooling/educational background

My background is in finance and financial compliance.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to read and/or listen to books, everything from thriller and horror to mystery books.  I love spending time with my dog and cat although eating without getting fur in my food is challenging.

List 1 fun fact about yourself

I speak fluent cat and dog :D

What is your favorite quote or life motto?

Saving one dog (cat) will not change the world, but surely for that one dog (cat), the world will change forever.

Is there any additional information you would like to share regarding winning this award?

This is a wonderful gift!  I don’t feel that I do anything extraordinary honestly, I just do my job to the best of my ability.  My direct supervisor has always made me feel appreciated and this award, to me, is icing on the cake!  I am thankful to agilon health for the opportunity to do a job that can impact healthcare in a positive way.
